Privacy policy

This policy explains what information AMAL collects through this website, why it is collected, and how visitors can contact the organization about their information.

Effective July 2026

Information submitted through forms

When you use the contact, enrollment, volunteer-interest, or donation-inquiry forms, AMAL may collect your name, email address, phone number, program interest, participant age when relevant, preferred contact method, and the message you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to the request, route it to an appropriate representative, maintain reasonable program records, prevent spam, and improve communication.

Visitors should not submit Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, banking credentials, passwords, medical records, immigration documents, or other highly sensitive information through public website forms. If documentation is required for a specific charitable or administrative process, AMAL will explain a more appropriate method after initial contact.

Technical information

The web server may automatically record limited technical information such as the date and time of a request, requested page, browser type, approximate network information, and error details. This information can help maintain security, troubleshoot broken pages, and understand general website performance. AMAL does not use this website to display behavioral advertising or affiliate promotions.

How information is shared

Form information may be shared internally with the people responsible for the relevant program, donation inquiry, volunteer opportunity, or community request. AMAL does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety, investigate misuse, or maintain the security of the website and organization. Some website functions may rely on hosting and email service providers that process data as part of delivering those services.

Retention and security

AMAL aims to retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for communication, program administration, legal obligations, recordkeeping, and security. No online system can guarantee absolute security. The organization uses practical safeguards and limits the public forms to information appropriate for initial contact.

Your choices and contact

You may ask AMAL to correct contact information or inquire about information previously submitted. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate nonprofit, legal, donation, safety, or administrative purposes. Send privacy questions to admin@amallawton.org or contact the organization at 929-242-6688.

This policy may be updated when website functions, service providers, or organizational practices change. The effective date will be revised when material updates are published. Continued use of the website after an update means the current policy applies to new interactions.
